The Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool becomes part of the vehicle's
electronic system when plugged into the Data Link Connector (DLC). The diagnostic
Computer Scan Tool can perform the following functions:
| • | Display the MAGNASTEER® data |
| • | Display and clear any MAGNASTEER® diagnostic trouble codes |
| • | Control the MAGNASTEER® components |
| • | Perform extensive MAGNASTEER® diagnosis |
| • | Provide diagnostic testing for intermittent MAGNASTEER® conditions |
Each test mode has specific diagnostic capabilities which depend upon
various keystrokes. The keys on the Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool completes
the following functions:
| • | Perform functions within an operating mode |
| • | Enter Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) or model year designations |
