DEFINITION: Engine continues to run after key is turned OFF, but runs very rough. If engine runs smooth, Inspect the ignition switch and adjustment.

Fuel System

Test the fuel injectors. Refer to Fuel Injector Balance Test , Fuel Injector Solenoid Coil Test - Engine Coolant Temperature Between 10-35 Degrees C (50-95 Degrees F) , or Fuel Injector Solenoid Coil Test - Engine Coolant Temperature Outside 10-35 Degrees C (50-95 Degrees F) .

Additional

Test for short between battery positive voltage and any of the ignition feed circuits. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems .
