Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the cross vehicle beam. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum lines from the defroster actuator.

    3. Object Number: 295305 Size: SH
  3. Rotate the defroster door lever fully rearward (counterclockwise), then carefully insert a screw driver between the bottom of the defrost door lever and the protruding wall of the HVAC control module case below the door lever in order to keep the door lever in place.
  4. Lift to release the defroster actuator retaining tab.
  5. Carefully rotate the defroster actuator upward and forward to remove from the HVAC control module case.

    6. Object Number: 295308 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod from the defrost door and remove the vacuum actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 295308 Size: SH
  1. Connect the vacuum actuator pushrod from the defrost door.

    2. Object Number: 295306 Size: SH
  2. Carefully rotate rearward and downward to align actuator slots with HVAC control module case and push the vacuum actuator toward the HVAC control module to secure the retaining tab.
  3. Connect the vacuum lines to the defroster actuator.
  4. Install the cross vehicle beam. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
