- Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK position to the RUN position.

the following procedure in order to diagnose the fasten belt indicator lamp: 
- Release (unfasten) the driver's seat belt.
 
- Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK position to the RUN position
for 7 seconds. Turn OFF the switch.
 
- Fasten the driver's seat belt.
 
- Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK/OFF position to the RUN
position.

|     •  | The fasten belt indicator lamp turns ON for 7 seconds when
the ignition switch is turned from the LOCK/OFF position to the RUN position
with the driver's seat belt unfastened. |  
  
|     •  | The fasten seat belt indicator may be on steady or flash during

the following procedure in order to diagnose the parking brake reminder: 
- Apply the parking brake.
 
- Step and firmly hold on the brake pedal.
 
- Close all of the vehicle doors.
 
- Start the engine.
 
- Shift transaxle out of PARK.
 
- Release the parking brake.
 
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

brake reminder sounds when the following conditions exist:

- Test drive the vehicle for at least 1.2 km (3/4 mile)
with the turn signal switch ON in either the left turn position or the right

- Move the turn signal switch to the OFF position.

on reminder sounds once for each flash of turn signal lights when the following
conditions exist: 
|     •  | The turn signal switch is in the left turn position or the right
turn position. |

in order to diagnose the headlamps on reminder: 
- Ensure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
 
- Open and close the driver's door.
 
- Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK or HEAD position.
 
- Open and close the driver's door.
 
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
 
- Open and close the driver's door again.
 
- Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
