Removal Procedure
  1. Position the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    4. Caution: Standard shop practices, particularly eye protection, should be followed during these operations to avoid personal injury.

    Important: Support the back side of the rivet while driving the mandrel out to avoid bending the metal.

  4. Use a center punch to remove the rivet mandrel (2).

    5. Object Number: 315975 Size: MH
  5. Drill out the rivet using a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) drill bit.

    6. Object Number: 325982 Size: MH
  6. Open the handle clip and remove the lock rod from the handle.
  7. Open the handle clip and remove the handle rod from the handle.
  8. Remove the handle from the inner panel.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 325982 Size: MH
  1. Install the handle by inserting the tabs into the inner panel slots.
  2. Install the lock rod to the handle.

    3. Press the clip in order to secure the lock rod.


    Object Number: 315975 Size: MH
  3. Install the handle rod to the handle.

    4. Press the clip in order to secure the handle rod.

  4. Install a new rivet (2).
  5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
