Removal Procedure
- Remove the side rail lamp lens from the assist handle using a small flat-bladed tool.
- Remove the screws from the side rail lamp housing.
- Remove the screws from the assist handle.
- Remove the side rail lamp/assist handle from the roof.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the side rail lamp on the assist handle.
- Release the socket from the side rail lamp housing.
- Remove the socket from the side rail lamp housing.
- Remove the bulb from the socket.
Important: Note the position of the side rail lamp lens for installation.
Installation Procedure
- Install the bulb to the side rail lamp socket.
- Install the socket to the side rail lamp housing.
- Connect the electrical connector to the side rail lamp.
- Install the side rail lamp/assist handle to the roof.
- Install the screws to the assist handle.
- Install the screws to the side rail lamp housing.
- Position the side rail lamp lens to the side rail lamp.
- Install the side rail lamp lens to the side rail lamp, pressing into place until fully seated.
Tighten
Tighten the assist handle screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the side rail lamp housing screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
