High steering shaft effort exists.

•	The column is misaligned.

•	The dust seal is improperly installed.

•	The dust seal is deformed.

•	The upper bearing is damaged.

•	The lower bearing is damaged.

•	The intermediate steering shaft universal joint is tight.

•	The shroud is rubbing on the column cover.
