Removal Procedure

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.


    Object Number: 542534 Size: SH
  1. Lower the window to the full open position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the window inner belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Remove the window outer belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Reconnect power to the power window motor.
  7. Position the window so that the forward retainer clamp (6) can be accessed through the access hole (2).
  8. Depress the tabs (5) in order to release the window retainers from the window regulator.

  9. Manually raise the window to the fully closed position.
  10. Lower the window regulator to the full down position.
  11. Remove the rear door front window run channel.
  12. Remove the window (1).
    13. 12.1. Manually lower the window in order to clear the window weatherstrip.
    12.2. Tilt the top of the window outboards.
    12.3. Lift the window out to the outboard side of the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 259161 Size: SH
  1. Install the window (1) down into the door.
  2. Align the top of the window into the window weatherstrip.
  3. Manually raise the window to the full closed position.
  4. Tape the window in place.
  5. Install the rear door front window run channel.
  6. Remove the tape from the window.

    7. Object Number: 542534 Size: SH
  7. Lower the window into the window regulator. Ensure that the retainer tabs (5) snap into the window regulator.
  8. Install the window outer belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  9. Install the window inner belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  10. Test the window for proper adjustment. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Adjustment .
  11. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  12. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
