Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the right instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel compartment screws and compartment.

    3. Object Number: 295305 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the vacuum line from defroster actuator.
  4. Rotate the defroster door lever fully rearward (counterclockwise), then carefully insert a screw driver between the bottom of the defrost door lever and the protruding wall of the HVAC module case below the door lever in order to keep the door lever in place.
  5. Remove the defroster actuator.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the defroster actuator.
  2. Carefully rotate rearward and downward to align actuator slots with HVAC module case and push the vacuum actuator toward the HVAC module to secure the retaining tab.

    3. Object Number: 295305 Size: SH
  3. Connect the vacuum line to defroster actuator.
  4. Install the instrument compartment and screws. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  5. Install the right instrument insulator panel.
