Do the park lights operate properly?

  1. Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.
  2. Backprobe the fog lamp switch connector with a DMM from cavity 2 (YEL) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15V

Connect a fused jumper from the fog lamp switch connector cavity 2 (YEL) to cavity 3 (YEL).

Do the fog lights turn on?

  1. Remove the fog lamp enable relay position C from the engine compartment fuse block.
  2. Connect a DMM from the fog lamp enable relay position C cavity A9 (YEL) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15V

Connect a DMM from the fog lamp enable relay position C cavity B9 (ORN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15V

Connect a fused jumper from the fog lamp enable relay position C cavity B9 (ORN) to cavity A7 (PPL).

Do the fog lights turn on?

  1. Reinstall the fog lamp enable relay position C in the engine compartment fuse block.
  2. Disconnect the lamp control module (LCM) connector C1.
  3. Connect the fused jumper from the LCM connector C1 cavity A4 (DK GRN/WHT) to ground.

Do the fog lights turn on?

Repair the open in CKT 32 (YEL) between S279 and the fog lamp switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 317 (YEL) between the engine compartment fuse block and the fog lamp switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 1840 (ORN) between the IP fuse block and the engine compartment fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 34 (PPL) between the engine compartment fuse block and S124. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for an open in CKT 1317 (DK GRN/WHT) between the engine compartment fuse block and the LCM. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.
