Did you perform the Power Mirror System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

1. Disconnect the park/neutral position (PNP) switch connector C1.
2. Connect a fused jumper between the PNP switch connector C1 terminal D (PNK) (Oldsmobile) or B (PNK) (Buick) and terminal F (LT GRN).
3. Turn ON the ignition.

Does the RH outside rear view mirror move down?

Go to Step 3

1. Remove the fused jumper.
2. Disconnect the memory seat/mirror module connector C1.
3. Use a digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the resistance between the PNP switch connector C1 terminal F (LT GRY) and the memory seat/mirror module connector C1 terminal D13 (LT GRN).

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

Replace the memory seat/mirror module. Refer to Memory Seat Control Module Replacement in Seats.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the PNP switch. Refer to one of the following procedures:

Repair the open in CKT 24 (LT GRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
