Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.

    2. Important: Do not disconnect the power steering fluid lines/hoses from the reservoir.

  2. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir bolts and reposition the power steering fluid reservoir in order to provide access. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1285239 Size: SH
  3. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1285241 Size: SH
  4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1285241 Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the CMP sensor bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the CMP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .
