Battery Tray Replacement LHD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the right air inlet grill panel only. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

    3. Object Number: 799787 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts securing the front air inlet panel assembly to the battery tray.

    4. Object Number: 776848 Size: SH
  4. Remove the battery tray bolts from the following:
    5. • The inner fender panel
    • The shock tower
    • The lower air inlet panel assembly
  5. Remove the battery tray (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 776848 Size: SH
  1. Position the battery tray (2) to the vehicle, locating the alignment datums (1) with the holes in the inner fender.
  2. Install the battery tray bolts to the following:
    3. • The inner fender panel
    • The shock tower
    • The lower air inlet panel assembly

    Tighten
    Tighten the battery tray bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the 2 bolts securing the front air inlet panel assembly to the battery tray.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front air inlet panel assembly bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the right air inlet grill panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .

Battery Tray Replacement RHD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the left air inlet grill panel only. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

    3. Object Number: 799789 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts securing the front air inlet panel assembly to the battery tray.

    4. Object Number: 776849 Size: SH
  4. Remove the battery tray bolts from the following:
    5. • The inner fender panel
    • The shock tower
    • The lower air inlet panel assembly
  5. Remove the battery tray (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Position the battery tray (1) to the vehicle, locating the alignment datums (2) with the holes in the inner fender.
  2. Install the battery tray bolts to the following:
    3. • The inner fender panel
    • The shock tower
    • The lower air inlet panel assembly

    Tighten
    Tighten the battery tray bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the 2 bolts securing the front air inlet panel assembly to the battery tray.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front air inlet panel assembly bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the left air inlet grill panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .

Battery Tray Replacement LS2

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1296795 Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery from the vehicle. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the right side air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1296149 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts from the battery tray.
  4. Remove the battery tray from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1296149 Size: SH
  1. Install the battery tray into the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the battery tray bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the battery tray bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the right side air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  4. Install the battery into the vehicle. Refer to Battery Replacement .
