Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front wheelhouse extension. Refer to Wheelhouse Extension Replacement.
2. Remove the front brake caliper cooling duct. Refer to Front Brake Caliper Cooling Duct Replacement.
3. Disconnect the forward lamp harness electrical connectors from the windshield washer pump, headlamp washer pump and the windshield washer solvent level indicator.
4. Remove the harness from the washer container.
5. Disconnect the windshield washer pump hose at the pump spout.
6. Disconnect the headlamp washer pump hose at the pump spout.
7. Remove the windshield washer container cap.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Windshield Washer Solvent Container

Procedure

1. Remove washer solvent container from the front compartment panel assembly and lower the washer container from the wheelhouse compartment.
2. Drain the windshield washer solvent into a suitable clean container.
3. Transfer the component parts as needed.
4. Install new grommets prior to installing the windshield and headlamp washer pumps and the level indicator into the washer solvent container.
5. Fill the windshield washer solvent after completion.

Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front wheelhouse extension. Refer to Wheelhouse Extension Replacement.
2. Drain the windshield washer solvent into a suitable clean container.
3. Disconnect the forward lamp harness from the container and electrical connectors from the windshield washer container pump and windshield washer solvent level indicator.
4. Remove the windshield washer container cap.
5. Transfer the component parts as needed.

Lift the container from the stud on the front compartment panel assembly and lower the washer container from the vehicle.
