Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

Go to Step  2

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check Wiper/Washer System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Turn the windshield wiper and winshield washer switch to the ON position.
3. Stop the wipers with the wiper blades in a verticle position, by turning the windshield wiper/washer switch to the OFF position.
4. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor relay K8.
5. Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 5 of the windshield wiper motor relay K8 connector and a known good ground.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step  3

Go to Step  4

Replace the winshield wiper motor relay K8.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step  5

1. Locate an open in CKT FY2, U6, or U10.
2. Repair an open in CKT FY2, U6, or U10.

If the CKTs are OK, replace the windshield wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement Wiper Motor Replacement

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step  5

--

1. Reconnect all of the connectors and the components that were disconnected.
2. Verify that the windshield wipers operate properly.
