- Turn the adjuster on each
of the parking brake self adjusters until both sets of parking brake shoes
just contact the parking brake drum, with no significant drag.
- Tighten the adjuster nut on the parking brake lever shaft until
braking effort occurs while ensuring the wheels turn freely.
- Perform the following inspection:
| 3.1. | Ensure the wheels still turn with the parking brake lever set
on the 4th notch. |
| 3.2. | Ensure the wheels are tight with the parking brake lever set on
the 7th notch. |
| 3.3. | Additionally, ensure the braking effort is equal at both wheels. |
- The adjustment procedure is complete when the above inspections
are correct.
