Did you perform the Keyless Entry Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Perform the following:
    2. • Ignition in the OFF position.
    • Transmission in PARK.
    • All doors closed.
  2. Using the door lock switches from within the vehicle, operate all door locks.

Do all the door locks operate properly?

Press the trunk and fuel filler door release buttons that are located next to the radio.

Does the trunk lid and fuel filler door release?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

  1. From outside the vehicle, place the transmitter within operating range (approximately 30 feet or less).
  2. Operate all the fuctions on the transmitter.

Does the transmitter operate within range and do all functions operate properly?

Go to Step 6

Go to Transmitter Test

Refer to the following for repairs:

    •  Rear Compartment Lid Release Inoperative in Body Rear End
    •  Fuel Filler Door Release Inoperative in Body Rear End

Did you find and correct the condition?

Problem may be intermittent at this time. Review the following:

    • Check for proper range (rainy or snowy weather decreases range).
    • Check for obstructions (other vehicles or objects will decrease range).
    • Electrical interference (cellular phones, power lines, radio towers, garage door openers, etc.).
    • Routing of antenna from BCM.
