Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2008 🢒 DTS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.6L 🢒 Oil Filter Adapter Installation

Oil Filter Adapter Installation without Oil Cooler

  1. Install NEW O-ring seals in the oil filter adapter.

    2. Object Number: 880570 Size: SH
  2. Position the oil filter adapter on the crankcase.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil filter adapter bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the oil pressure sensor.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pressure sensor to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Fill the oil filter with oil.
  6. Install the oil filter.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).

Oil Filter Adapter Installation with Oil Cooler

  1. Install NEW O-ring seals in the oil filter adapter.

    2. Object Number: 881853 Size: SH
  2. Position the oil filter adapter on the crankcase.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil filter adapter bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the oil pressure sensor.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pressure sensor to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Fill the oil filter with oil.
  6. Install the oil filter.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
