The distance sensing cruise control (DSCC) module monitors the ignition 1 voltage circuit in order to determine if the voltage is within the normal operating range. When the DSCC module detects that the ignition 1 voltage is below 9.2 volts or above 16 volts, DTC C0800 sets.
| • | Ignition is in RUN. |
| • | Vehicle speed is greater than 40.2 km/h (25 mph). |
| • | The DSCC module detects that the ignition 1 voltage is less than 9.2 volts. |
| • | The above condition is present for 7 seconds. |
| • | The DSCC module detects that the ignition 1 voltage is greater than 16 volts. |
| • | The above condition is present for 7 seconds. |
The following actions occur:
| • | Loss of adaptive cruise function |
| • | Cruise Not Ready indicator illuminates in the DIC. |
| • | The DTC becomes history when the fault is no longer present. |
| • | A History DTC clears after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles. |
| • | The DSCC receives a clear code command from the scan tool. |
| • | A possible cause of this DTC could be overcharging with a battery charger or jump starting. |
| • | A low voltage DTC in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system. |
| • | A high voltage value in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system. |

Engine running measure and record the voltage at the battery terminals. Verify that the battery voltage is 12.6-15.5 volts.
| ⇒ | If the battery voltage is not within the specified range, refer to Charging System Test. |
| ⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
| ⇒ | If the test lamp did not illuminate , test the ignition 1 circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
