Telescope Motor Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift


    Object Number: 588842 Size: SH
  1. To remove the telescope drive motor assembly (1) do the following steps:
    2. 1.1. Disconnect the connectors of the telescope drive motor assembly (1).
    1.2. Remove the 2 TORX® head screws (2).
    1.3. Remove the telescope drive motor assembly (1).
    1.4. Pull off the potentiometer housing (3).

  2. To remove the telescope cable assembly do the following steps:
    3. 2.1. With locking pliers squeeze the black end of the telescope cable assembly with the spring cable to remove from the telescope drive motor assembly.
    2.2. With locking pliers squeeze the white end of the telescope cable assembly to remove from the steering column.

  1. To remove the telescope drive motor assembly (1) do the following steps:
    2. 1.1. Disconnect the connectors of the telescope drive motor assembly (1).
    1.2. Remove the 2 TORX® head screws (2).

  2. To remove the telescope cable assembly do the following steps:
    3. 2.1. With locking pliers squeeze the black end of the telescope cable assembly with the spring cable to remove from the telescope drive motor assembly.
    2.2. With locking pliers squeeze the white end of the telescope cable assembly to remove from the steering column.
