A vane-type constant displacement pump provides the hydraulic pressure for the system. The 4.6L engine uses a TC series pump.
The following list identifies the major components of the power steering pump:

The reservoir is separate from the housing and internal components.
In order to limit the pump pressure, this system uses a pressure relief valve.
