Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheel assembly on the side of the vehicle the cable is to be removed. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation In Wheels and Tires.
  3. Loosen the cable at the adjuster.

    4. Object Number: 602459 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the left, right and intermediate cable at the equalizer (2).
  5. Disconnect the cable housing retainer from the rear suspension support.

    6. Object Number: 106206 Size: SH
  6. Remove the cable from the caliper.
  7. Use the following procedure to remove the cable from the caliper assembly
    8. 7.1. Remove the retainer clip from the lever
    7.2. Remove the cable (1) from the lever slot
    7.3. Disengage the cable housing retainer from the caliper bracket.
  8. Remove the cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 106206 Size: SH
  1. Install the cable on the vehicle.
  2. Using the following procedure install the cable onto the caliper.
    3. 2.1. Engage the cable housing retainer onto the caliper bracket.
    2.2. Install the cable  (1) onto the lever slot.
    2.3. install the retainer clip onto the lever.

  3. Connect the cable housing retainer to the suspension support.
  4. Connect the left, right and intermediate cable at the equalizer (2).
  5. Adjust the cable at the adjuster. Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment .
  6. Install the wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels and Tires.
