Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Do the park lamps operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Stop Lamps Inoperative

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the inoperative license lamp bulb.
3. Connect a test lamp between the inoperative license lamp supply voltage circuit and the ground circuit of the inoperative license lamp.
4. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
5. Turn ON the park lamps.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Test the inoperative license lamp supply voltage circuit for an open or a high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the inoperative license lamp bulb. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair an open or high resistance in the inoperative license lamp ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Replace the inoperative license lamp bulb. Refer to Rear License Lamp Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
