Driver/Passenger Seat Adjuster Rail/Track Noisy (Install Washer)

Some owners may comment on an excessive noise coming from the driver and/or passenger seat adjuster assembly rail/track when moving the seat assembly forward or rearward.

The noise may be corrected by installing a washer between the outboard rail of the seat adjuster assembly and the rocker panel.

1. Adjust seat assembly to the full forward position.
2. Remove outboard and inboard oval seat adjuster bolt cover (1) if installed.
3. Remove the outboard seat adjuster Torx® bolt.
4. Loosen the inboard seat adjuster Torx® bolt.
5. Install/slide washer, P/N 14047726, between the outboard adjuster rail (2) and the rocker panel.
6. Install the outboard Torx® bolt through the outer adjuster rail and reinforcement bracket, washer and into the rocker panel.

Tighten
Tighten the outboard Torx® bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft). Tighten the inboard Torx® bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

7. Install the oval seat adjuster bolt covers (optional).
8. Adjust seat assembly to original position.
