For 1990-2009 cars only
- Install the drive belt idler pulley over the generator/idler pulley stud and the drive belt idler pulley bolt through the generator.
- Install the nut on the generator/idler pulley stud.
- Tighten the generator and idler pulley bolts and nut in the following sequence:
- Install the NEW generator coolant hose sealing rings.
- Install the hose into the fitting in the engine front cover.
- Install the cooling hose assembly onto the generator port.
- Install the bolt through the cooling hose assembly into the generator and tighten to 27 N·m (19 lb ft).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
| 3.1. | Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft). |
| 3.2. | Tighten the generator/idler pulley stud nut to 50 N·m (37 lb ft). |
| 3.3. | Tighten the rear generator brace bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft). |
| 3.4. | Tighten the front upper generator bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft). |
