Fore/Aft and Cross Car Adjustment Procedure

    Object Number: 1294372 Size: SH
  1. Place the folding top in the up position.
  2. Open the rear compartment.

    3. Object Number: 1274144 Size: SH
  3. Lower the rear compartment partition (1).
  4. Place a protective covering over the interior and the adjacent body panels.
  5. Locate the hydraulic pump beneath the carpet in the storage compartment on the driver side of the rear compartment.

    6. Object Number: 1274131 Size: SH
  6. Turn the pump bypass valve (1) counterclockwise until the valve stops.

    7. Object Number: 1243750 Size: SH
  7. Loosen the bolts (1) on the compartment closeout panel and loosen the locating pin bolts (3).
  8. Apply LOCTITE™ Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.

    9. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  9. Adjust the closeout panel as necessary. Tighten the bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
  10. Apply LOCTITE™ Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.
  11. Push the locating pin into the pin receiver and tighten the bolts (3) to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
  12. Verify that the closeout panel is properly aligned. Refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications.
  13. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary.

  14. Turn the pump bypass valve (1) clockwise until the valve stops.
  15. Remove the protective covering.

    16. Object Number: 1274144 Size: SH
  16. Raise the rear compartment partition (1).
  17. Close the rear compartment.
  18. Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
  19. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation.

Up/Down Adjustment Procedure

    Object Number: 1294372 Size: SH
  1. Place the folding top in the up position.
  2. Open the rear compartment.

    3. Object Number: 1274144 Size: SH
  3. Lower the rear compartment partition (1).
  4. Place a protective covering over the interior and the adjacent body panels.
  5. Locate the hydraulic pump beneath the carpet in the storage compartment on the driver side of the rear compartment.

    6. Object Number: 1274131 Size: SH
  6. Turn the pump bypass valve (1) counterclockwise until the valve stops.

    7. Object Number: 1243750 Size: SH
  7. Loosen the bolts (1) on the compartment closeout panel and loosen the locating pin bolts (3).
  8. Note the number and the location of any shims that may be present.
  9. Add or remove shims to obtain the necessary alignment.

    10. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  10. Apply LOCTITE™ Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts and tighten to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
  11. Push the locating pin into the pin receiver and tighten the bolts (3) to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
  12. Verify that the closeout panel is properly aligned. Refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications.
  13. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary. If additional adjustment is required, first adjust the length of the closeout panel drive rod.

    14. Object Number: 1243743 Size: SH
  14. While holding the drive rod turnbuckle (2), loosen both of the drive rod jam nuts (1).

    15. Object Number: 1243736 Size: SH
  15. Turn the drive rod turnbuckle as necessary to adjust the closeout panel:
    16. • Turn the turnbuckle clockwise to adjust the panel downward.
    • Turn the turnbuckle counterclockwise to adjust the panel upward.

    Object Number: 1245288 Size: SH
  16. While holding the drive rod turnbuckle (2), tighten both of the drive rod jam nuts (1) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
  17. Verify that the closeout panel is properly aligned. Refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications.
  18. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary.

    19. Object Number: 1274131 Size: SH
  19. Turn the pump bypass valve (1) clockwise until the valve stops.
  20. Remove the protective covering.

    21. Object Number: 1274144 Size: SH
  21. Raise the rear compartment partition (1).
  22. Install the support and the carpet over the hydraulic pump.
  23. Close the rear compartment.
  24. Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
  25. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation.
