Replace the lock cylinder housing. Refer to Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The shaft assembly is damaged.

Replace the shaft assembly. Refer to Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing, and Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing, and Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The ignition switch assembly is damaged.

Replace the ignition switch assembly. Refer toIgnition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The shift linkage adjustment is improper.

Adjust the shift linkage. Refer to Shift Cable Replacement in Automatic Transmission.

The rack preload spring is broken and weak.

Replace the rack preload spring. Refer to Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Steering Column Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The park lock cable is not adjusted properly.

Adjust the park lock cable.

The key is incandrect, bent, and twisted.

Replace the key. Refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding in General Infandmation.

The rack is bent and broken.

Replace the rack.
