Did you perform the power seats system check?

  1. Disconnect the inoperative seat adjuster switch assembly from the connector.
  2. Use a fused jumper in order to connect CKT 282 or 288 (YEL) to CKT 750 (BLK) at the inoperative seat adjuster switch.
  3. Momentarily connect CKT 283 or 289 (LT BLU) to CKT 540 (ORN) with a fused jumper lead at the inoperative seat adjuster switch.

Does the motor move?

--

Go to Step 3

Replace the inoperative seat adjuster switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Seats System Check

  1. Use a fused jumper in order to connect CKT 283 or 289 (LT BLU) to CKT 750 (BLK) at the inoperative seat adjuster switch.
  2. Momentarily connect CKT 282 or 288 (YEL) to CKT 540 (ORN) with a fused jumper lead at the inoperative seat adjuster switch.

Does the motor move?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the inoperative motor.
  2. Use an ohmmeter in order to check for continuity in CKT 282 or 288 (YEL) and CKT 283 or 289 (LT BLU) between the inoperative seat adjuster switch and the forward/rearward seat motor.

Does continuity exist?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the inoperative forward/rearward tilt seat motor.

Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster in seats.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Seats System Check

Repair the open in CKT 282 or 288 (YEL) and/or CKT 283 or 289 (LT BLU) from the forward/rearward seat motor to the inoperative seat adjuster switch.
