The windshield wiper/washer system consists of the following components:

The windshield wiper motor module controls the accessory voltage supply circuit used to power the windshield wiper motor and windshield washer pump during all operating modes. During mist, delay, and low operation, accessory voltage supplied to the windshield wiper/washer switch is reduced through one of the internal resistors and supplied to the wiper motor module through the pulse delay signal circuit. When the windshield washer switch is pressed the accessory voltage supply to the windshield wiper/washer switch is closed to the pulse delay signal circuit with no resistor. The delay interval, low speed operation, and wash mode is determined by the voltage level of the pulse delay signal circuit to the windshield wiper motor module. During high speed operation the high speed signal circuit is closed to the accessory voltage circuit and the pulse delay signal circuit is at the low speed signal voltage level.
