Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1696787 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the transfer case shield bolts (1, 3, and 4).
  3. Remove the transfer case shield (2 or 5).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1696787 Size: SH
  1. Position the transfer case shield (1, 3, and 4).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the transfer case shield bolts (2 or 5).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Lower the vehicle.
