Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 31510 Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Lower) .

    2. Object Number: 31868 Size: SH
  2. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement .
  3. Remove the following components from the left cylinder head.
    4. • The electrical connector at the coolant temperature sensor
    • The air conditioning compressor and bracket. Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  4. Remove the generator and bracket from the right cylinder head. Refer to Engine Electrical.

    5. Object Number: 4047 Size: SH
  5. Remove the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 5130 Size: SH
  6. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Removal .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 5129 Size: SH
  1. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Installation .

    2. Object Number: 4047 Size: SH
  2. Install the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  3. Install the following components to the left cylinder head:
    4. 3.1. The electrical connector at the coolant temperature sensor
    3.2. The air conditioning compressor and bracket. Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  4. Install the generator and bracket to the right cylinder head. Refer to Engine Electrical.

  5. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 31510 Size: SH
  6. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Lower) .
