Connecting the scan tool to the data link connector (DLC) allows the scan tool to communicate with the following control modules:

•	The powertrain control module

•	The vehicle control module

•	The supplemental inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM)

•	The transfer case shift control module

•	The electronic brake control module

•	The body control module

•	The electronic climate control module

•	The memory seat module

•	The instrument cluster

Monitor system operations for diagnostic purposes by connecting the scan tool to the DLC.
