- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Disconnect the driver information display module connector.
- Using the J 35616
, connect a J 39200
digital multimeter (DMM) to driver information display module connector C1,
cavity 7 (CKT 817) and connector C1, cavity 6
(CKT 451). Connect the RED lead to cavity 7. Connect
the BLK lead to cavity 6. Refer to
Circuit Testing
in Wiring Systems.
- Set the J 39200
DMM to measure DC volts.
- Push the Hz button once on the J 39200
DMM. Hz should be displayed on the right side of the screen.
- Start the vehicle.
- Depress the brake pedal.
- Place the vehicle in a forward gear.
- Release the brake.
- Accelerate in order to maintain a constant speed of 25 mph.
(MPH x 1.111 = Hz)
