Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2001 🢒 Blazer - 4WD - RHD 🢒 Steering 🢒 Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt 🢒 Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Assemble - Off Vehicle

Tools Required

    • J 23653-SIR Steering Column Lock Plate Compressor
    • J 42137 Steering Column Lock Plate Compressor Adapter

  1. Lubricate the following parts with synthetic grease:
    2. • The lower brass surface of the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2)
    • The upper bearing inner race seat (4).
  2. Install the following parts onto the steering shaft assembly:
    3. 2.1. The upper bearing inner race seat (4)
    2.2. The upper bearing spring (3)
    2.3. The turn signal cancel cam assembly (2)
    2.4. The cancel cam orientation plate (1)

  3. Compress the cancel cam orientation plate using J 42137 and J 23653-SIR .
  4. Install the new bearing retainer (1) onto the steering shaft assembly.
  5. Firmly seat the bearing retainer (1) into the groove on the steering shaft assembly.
  6. Remove J 23653-SIR and J 42137 from the steering shaft assembly.
  7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle .
  8. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
