Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1957929 Size: SH
  2. Note the routing of the drive belt (1).

    3. Object Number: 1957931 Size: SH

    Important: Use a ½" drive breaker bar or ratchet, to rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise.

  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise in order to release tension on the drive belt (1).
  4. Remove the drive belt from the crankshaft pulley (3).
  5. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner (2).
  6. Remove the drive belt (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1957929 Size: SH
  1. Install and correctly route the drive belt (1) around the following:
    2. • Water pump pulley
    • Alternator
    • Drive belt tensioner
    • Crankshaft balancer
    • Air conditioning compressor
    • Idler pulley
    • Power steering pump

    Object Number: 1957931 Size: SH
  2. Using a ½" drive breaker bar or ratchet, rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise.
  3. Install the drive belt to the crankshaft pulley (3).

    4. Important: Make sure the drive belt (1) is correctly aligned and seated into the grooves of the accessory drive pulleys.

  4. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner (2).
  5. Remove the ½" drive breaker bar or ratchet from the drive belt tensioner (2).
  6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
