  1. Remove the camshaft position sensor (CMP). Refer to Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1950997 Size: SH
  2. Remove the engine front cover to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

    3. Important: The engine front cover gasket (3) is a single use only component and must be replaced whenever the engine front cover (2) is removed.

  3. Remove the engine front cover (2) and gasket (3).
  4. Remove the engine front cover gasket (3).

    5. Discard the engine front cover gasket (3).

  5. Clean and inspect the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Cleaning and Inspection
