    • The gasket surfaces
    • The coolant passages
    • The oil passages
    • The oil filter by-pass valve and spring
  2. Inspect the following areas:
    3. • Cracks in the cylinder walls, the coolant jacket, the valve lifter bores, and the crankshaft bearing webs
    • The oil filter by-pass valve for operation
