- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the automatic transmission 4-way connector.
- Using J 35616-A
connector test adapter kit, place a test light from terminal A of the engine
side of the automatic transmission 4-way connector to a good ground.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

- Install a scan tool.
- Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature.
- Operate the vehicle in D2 (2nd gear) to obtain 64 km/h
(40 mph).
- View the scan tool TCC Enable parameter.
When it is enabled, does the TCC engage (a noticeable decrease in engine
rpm)?
