Removal Procedure
- Remove the driver side sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gaues and Console.
- Remove the electrical connection (5, 6).
- Disconnect the brake switch (7) by grasping the switch and turning it one quarter turn counter clockwise while pulling toward the rear of the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Insert the stop lamp switch (7) into the retainer and turn one quarter clockwise until switch body is seated on the retainer.
- Connect the electrical connector (5, 6).
- Adjust the stoplamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
- Install the driver's side sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gaues and Console.
