Some customers may comment on an inoperative or an intermittent A/C (Air Conditioning) system. They may also comment on an engine hesitation, misfire or surge. The technician may find DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P0530 stored as a current or history code.
This condition may be caused by an A/C pressure sensor wiring harness that may be too short. During normal driving conditions, the movement of the engine may momentarily break the electrical connection at the sensor or disconnect the A/C pressure sensor wiring harness.
Replace the existing A/C pressure sensor electrical connector and harness using connector service kit, P/N 12102748. The use of this kit will allow the A/C pressure sensor wiring harness to be lengthened. Use the following procedure to install the connector service kit:
