- Rotate crankshaft by hand at the balancer or flywheel location.

| • | Inspect timing chain and gears for foreign material. |

Seized Camshaft

| • | Inspect camshaft and camshaft bearings. |

Seized Fuel Injection Pump or Gears

| • | Inspect fuel injection pump and gears. |

Bent Valve in Cylinder Head

| • | Inspect valves and cylinder heads. |

Hydraulically Locked Cylinder
| • | Coolant/Antifreeze in cylinder |
|
- Remove spark plugs and check for fluid.
- Inspect for a sticking fuel injector.
- Inspect for broken head gasket or gaskets.
- Inspect for cracked engine block or cylinder head.

Seized Automatic Transmission Torque Converter

- Remove the torque converter bolts.
- Rotate crankshaft by hand at the balancer or flywheel location.

Seized Manual Transmission
|
- Disengage the clutch.
- Rotate crankshaft by hand at the balancer or flywheel location.

| • | Inspect oil pump and/or drive. |

| • | Inspect cylinder for damaged components and/or foreign materials. |
