Circuit Description

This DTC indicates a Passlockā„¢ Module internal memory failure.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

All of the following conditions must be met:

    ā€¢ The ignition switch is ON.
    ā€¢ An internal error detection diagnostic found a failure in the module memory.

Diagnostic Aids

The memory portion of the Passlockā„¢ Module is not replaceable. If DTC C0559 is set, the Passlockā„¢ Module must be replaced.

Did you perform the VTD diagnostic system check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Theft Deterrent

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Replace the Passlockā„¢ Module. Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 3

  1. Reconnect all previously disconnected connectors and components.
  2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  3. Connect the scan tool.
  4. Clear the DTCs.
  5. Perform the Programming Theft Deterrent System Components procedure.
