Was the System Check Performed?

Go to Selectable Ride System Check

1. Disconnect the selectable ride switch. Refer to Selectable Ride Component Views .
2. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
3. Connect a test lamp from terminal F (PNK) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair the open in CKT 739 (PNK) between the mid bussed electrical center (MBEC) and the switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Connect a test lamp from terminal C (TAN/WHT) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair the short to voltage in CKT 1384 (TAN/WHT).

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Reconnect the selectable ride switch.
3. Connect a test lamp from (back probe) terminal C (TAN/WHT) of the switch to ground.
4. While back probing, depress the switch from ON to OFF (NORM and FIRM).

Does the test lamp light in the on position and off in the off position?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the selectable ride switch. Refer to Electronic Suspension Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Ensure the selectable ride switch is in the ON (FIRM) position and the ignition is in the ON position.
2. Gain access to connector C3 at the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC).
3. Connect a test lamp (back probe) from terminal B5 (TAN/WHT) of connector C3 at UBEC to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1384 (TAN/WHT) wire for a open between the switch and UBEC.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Inspect the electrical connections at each shock.
2. Inspect the ground for both the front and the rear to be clean and tight.
3. Ensure that all the connections are clean and tight and free of corrosion.
