1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs?

Go to Step 2

Turn the park lamps ON.

Do the park lamps function properly?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Park Lamps Inoperative

1. Disconnect the switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement in Doors.
2. Connect a test lamp from terminal B (right) or H of C1 (left) in CKT 2409 (BRN) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the open in CKT 2409 (BRN) between the switch and the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Connect a self powered test lamp from terminal G (right) or M of C1 (left) in CKT 1850 (BLK) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the switch and ground.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
