IMPORTANT:

    • Inspect the condition of the MIR/LOCK fuse. If the fuse is open test CKT 2140 (ORN) for short to ground and repair as necessary. Replace fuse and retest the power mirror system.
    • Verify that ground G203 is clean and secure.

  1. Remove the power mirror switch from left door panel.
  2. Back probe CKT 2140 (ORN) cavity G with a test lamp to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 2140 (ORN) between the power mirror switch and the left bussed electrical center (LBEC).

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Connect a test lamp between CKT 2140 (ORN) cavity G and CKT 1850 (BLK) cavity B.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the power mirror switch and ground G203.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Replace the power mirror switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
