DEFINITION: This diagnostic table should only be used if the LH mirror moves up and down but will not move left to right.

1. Disconnect the left power outside mirror connector.
2. Position the selector switch to the LH power mirror.
3. Connect a test lamp between CKT 81 (WHT) cavity E and ground.
4. Press the switch to the right position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 3

Replace the horizontal power mirror motor. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Locate and repair open in CKT 81 (WHT) between the LH outside power mirror and the power mirror switch.
2. If there is no open, replace the power mirror switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
