Important: Certain transmission components require preheating to 150°C (300°F).
In order to preheat the components, use an electric oven. It is recommended
to purchase a roaster/oven style locally. The oven should have a temperature
 setting thermostat.
- Position the input shaft on the J 44725
 (3).

- Install the input shaft oil deflector using the J 8092
 (1) and the J 44746
 (2). The J 44746
has an area for installing the oil deflector.

- Ensure the oil deflector is fully and squarely seated.

- Preheat the input shaft
bearing to 150°C (300°F) for 30 minutes in an electric oven.

Caution: When handling parts that have been preheated for installation purposes,
always wear leather welding gloves with a minimum amount of handling time.
Failure to wear leather gloves may result in severe skin burns or personal
injury.
- Wearing protective gloves, install the input shaft bearing
on the input shaft. Rotate the bearing in order to seat it fully and squarely.

- Allow the bearings to cool before further installation of the
 input shaft.
