- Disconnect the connector at the Ignition Coil (gasoline engines)
or the Engine Shutoff Solenoid (diesel engine).
- Connect a voltmeter to the battery positive and negative terminals.
- Place the ignition switch in START for 15 seconds.
- Observe the voltmeter indication, then place the ignition switch
in OFF.
Is the reading less than the value specified?

resistance in the BLK (50) wire between the battery and battery ground G100.

- Disconnect the BLK (50) wire from the battery ground G100.
- Connect a voltmeter between the battery negative terminal and
the battery ground G110.
- Place the ignition in START and observe the voltage.
Is the voltage more that the voltage specified?

the high resistance in BLK (50) wire between the battery and battery ground
G110.

- Place the ignition switch in START and observe the voltage.

the high resistance in the BLK (50) wire between the auxiliary battery and
the auxiliary battery ground G300.

- Connect a voltmeter from the starter solenoid terminal B to the
battery negative terminal.
- Place the ignition switch in START (note clicking of the solenoid).
- Observe the voltage.
