- Disconnect the connector at the Ignition Coil (gasoline engines)
or the Engine Shutoff Solenoid (diesel engine).
- Connect a voltmeter to the battery positive and negative terminals.
- Place the ignition switch in START for 15 seconds.
- Observe the voltmeter indication, then place the ignition switch
in OFF.
Is the reading less than the value specified?

- Connect a voltmeter between the battery negative terminal and
the battery ground G110.

the high resistance in the BLK (50) wire between the auxiliary battery and
the auxiliary battery ground G300.

- Place the ignition switch in START (note clicking of the solenoid).
- Observe the voltage.

the open in the BLK (1) wire between the battery and the starter.
