The Retained Accessory Power  (RAP) system is a
subsystem of the Body Control Module (BCM). It is designed to provide
power to the following accessories when the ignition is in the Run or
Accessory position and up to 10 minutes of power when the ignition is
cycled to the Off position.
|     •  | Rear Window Wiper Circuit |

|     •  | Front Windshield Wipers Circuit |

All components in the circuits powered by the RAP system will be enabled
when the Ignition Switch is in the Accessory or Run position. Once the Ignition
Switch is turned to the Off position, and all doors remain closed, the
components in these circuits will remain enabled for 10 minutes. Once
any of the doors open, the 10 minute timer is cancelled and power to these
components is disabled.
In addition, anytime the the doors are opened, and remain opened while
the Ignition Switch is in the Run position, the courtesy lights will come
on for 10 minutes then turn off. The same holds true for the Glove
Compartment Light when the Ignition Switch is in the Off position.
Power is supplied to the RAP System through CKT 342 (RED),
from the IGN B fuse 5. Power is then sent out of the Body Control
Module through CKT 75 (DK BLU) to the I/P fuse block
to power the PWR WDO CIRCUIT BREAKER; RR WIPER fuse #23; WIPER
fuse #11; and RADIO fuse #17. Control for the courtesy lamp
feed runs through CKT 40 (ORN) from the Body Control Module
and returns to the Body Control Module through CKT 157 (GRA),
courtesy lamp return. Driver Door Jamb feed for the RAP System runs through
CKT 159 (TAN) to the Body Control Module as does the Passenger
Door Jamb feed runs through CKT 328 (PPL) to the Body Control
Module. The ignition switch feed for the RAP system comes from GAUGES
fuse #4 and runs through CKT 39 (PNK). Ground for
the RAP system runs through CKT 150 (BLK) to ground G202.
