DEFINITION: This diagnostic table should only be used if the LH mirror moves left to right but will not move up and down.

1. Disconnect the right power outside mirror connector.
2. Position the selector switch to the RH power mirror.
3. Connect a test lamp between CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) cavity D and ground.
4. Press the switch to the down position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 3

Replace the vertical power mirror motor. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Locate and repair open in CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) between the RH outside power mirror and the power mirror switch.
2. If there is no open, replace the power mirror switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
